So I admit so many people I met don't even bother to want to learn. I learned about where they are from. xD So sad no one knows a thing about where I am... Even other Canadian's might learn from this post. :) I'll talk about singers and actors you might be shocked. xD Oh and Deadpool was filmed in Vancouver, British Columbia.

Most think its ice/snow 24/7 year round. That is so false. During Summer in British Columbia, Canada's temperatures can be at 109.4 Fahrenheit or +43 Celsius. Winter I admit is colder in Alberta but BC short for British Columbia is mild with Winter. I'll say a few interesting facts. Please read I will say you will be shocked on what Canada has made you use daily. In Canada we go by Celsius.

First of all there is 10 provinces and 3 territories. I'll name them.

Alberta or AB for short. British Columbia or BC. Manitoba or MB. New Brunswick or NB. Newfoundland and Labrador or NL. Nova Scotia or NS. Prince Edward Island or PEI. Ontario or ON. Saskatchewan or SK. Quebec or QC. For the Territories there's the Yukon or YT, Northwest Territories or NT, NU or Nunavut.

Nova Scotia in Latin actually means New Scotland. Canada is also the second largest country in the world behind Russia. We do have far less people though. Roughly 35.16 million people as of 2013. You can fit Switzerland in one of our national parks. xD

Now on to interesting stuff did you know Canada invented many things you use daily? Canadian's made hockey masks, instant replay, telephones, Lacrosse, Basketball was invented by the Canadian James Naismith in 1891 but played it first in the U.S. and obviously we made Ice Hockey. xD Table hockey game was invented by another Canadian named Donald Munro in the 1930s. We made the treats butter tarts and the Nanaimo bar. Canada made the walkie talkies, standard time so your time zones, the TV, we also made the electric wheelchair, The first widely used military gas mask was introduced by Cluny MacPherson in 1915. Canadian's made the G suit it's the anti-gravity garment worn by fighter pilots. Canadians also made sonar. Someone from Toronto made Five pin Bowling. Trivial Pursuit was made in Montreal, Quebec. For medical related stuff insulin was made in Canada. Also heard we helped make the light bulb. Two from Toronto teamed up to make it. We also apparently made the radio. One meal made in Quebec is poutine it is cheese, gravy and french fries.

For world records we used to have the biggest mall. Now West Edmonton Mall in Alberta is the biggest in North America. West Edmonton Mall as many world records not just the mall itself. It has the
world's largest indoor amusement park, world's largest indoor triple loop roller coaster, world's largest indoor lake, world's largest indoor wave pool and the world's largest parking lot. It holds 20,000 vehicles. Funny still can't find a parking space in the biggest parking lot. xD

The length of the Mindbender roller coaster is equivalent to 48 blue whales lying end to end. West Edmonton Mall's size is equivalent to 48 city blocks. Yearly visitation to the Mall is approximately 30.8 million. With more than 800 stores and services, it would take three 24-hour days to visit each one once.

I've personally been to West Ed most of my life. (Short for West Edmonton Mall.) It is amazing. They have a bowling alley, mini golf and a life sized ship in the mall.

In Montreal, Quebec they had the worlds largest Jazz music festival. Canada has the world's oldest baseball diamond. It is located at Labatt Park in London Ontario and it’s been open since 1877. We have the world's largest coastline. Makes sense we have the biggest hockey stick in the world. It's located in Duncan, British Columbia on Vancouver island. In Medicine Hat, Alberta they have the biggest teepee in the world. At one point the University of Alberta or U of A had the largest dodgeball game in the world. Their most recent attempt in 2012, saw 1,250 dodge balls between 4,979 players. But the title now belongs to the University of California, who attracted 6,084 participants to their September 2012 game. No idea if U of A will go at it again. If they do I say bring it on I love dodgeball. xD

Now onto actors and singers. I'm not naming all of them. xD
Avril Lavigne, Alessia Cara, Drake, Keshia Chante, Fefe Dobson, Lights and K-os comes from Ontario. Most come from Toronto.

Those from Nova Scotia one is the rapper Classified. One who is apparently famous from quite a long time ago is named Anne Murray.

From Alberta there's Chad Kroeger. He was also the lead for
Nickelback. And Ruth B she is from Edmonton. She did the song Lost Boy.

From British Columbia we got Michael Buble, Nelly Furtado, Andrew Allan and Carly Rae Jepsen. Andrew was from where I used to live. He went to school in a school near mine. xD

In Saskatchewan not sure much with these singers. But we got Codie Prevost and Kyle Riabko.

From Manitoba we have Holly McNarland and Christine Fellows. Again I don't know much about them.

From Quebec we have Celine Dion, Nikki Yanofsky and Karl Wolf.

From New Brunswick we have Mia Martina she sang a song called Stereo Love. The music video was filmed in Toronto, Ontario.

Now onto actors. This might surprise you.

From Ontario we have Jim Carrey, Mike Myers, Ryan Gosling, Rachel McAdams, Martin Short, Catherine O'Hara and Howie Mandel.

From Quebec there is William Shatner.

From Alberta there is Michael J. Fox.

From British Columbia we have Ryan Reynolds, Pamela Anderson and Seth Rogen.

From New Brunswick. We got Donald Sutherland.

From Halifax, Nova Scotia we have Ellen Page.

We have a Prime Minister not a President. He is named Justin Trudeau. Ottawa is the capital of all of Canada. Toronto is the biggest city apparently though.

Next time around I will post stuff related to different towns or cities. But yeah here's quite a bit. xD I'll also post on Canadian only words. And restaurants/stores made in Canada who knows you may have walked into one. xD
